Hope of Africa was founded by Heather Lytle. As a young adult, Heather worked for an international choir organization. Her job was to shepherd children orphaned by AIDS as they sung in a choir to raise money for countless children in this dire situation. Suddenly, the choral organization folded, leaving dozens of children in her care without a home, parent, or caretaker. Heather worked on the ground to help these children, working to comfort, counsel, and advocate for them. Over time, the Lord gathered many partners, and to this day her many children are now working as disciple makers in Africa and the middle east. They have gained work skills, become parents, gone to university, and work in government and industry as sustainable members of the body of Christ.
